My name is Ben Gray from Trinity, FL (just north of Tampa). I am sending you pictures and a brief summary of my 1956 15' Crestliner Voyager and 1956 TeeNee Trailer. I was hoping you would post them on your web site. I found this beauty by luck here locally. I fell in love with the lines instantly. The guy I bought it from had restored the interior to original and had made a new dash. Everything else on the boat is original, including the motor and trailer.
The first thing I did was a tune up on the 30 horse Johnson and had the carb rebuilt. The motor runs smooth and quiet. It has the original Mile Master fuel tank, too. The boat is in excellent shape. I think it has spent the majority of its life stored indoors. All the rivets are original and not one leaks. The original wood dash had been removed, so I refinished it and put it back on. The windshield and vent windows are in remarkably good shape. The speedometer even works. (It says 25 mph when I am by myself.) One of my favorite parts on the boat has to be the bow and stern lights. The stern light has the original glass cover. I bet that would be hard to replace.

The TeeNee trailer was next on my list to restore so I did some research on colors. I decided to go with the original safety yellow. Instead of having it painted, I got it powder coated. The trailer frame, axle, springs, and the rims were all taken apart, sand blasted and powder coated. I had a spare tire mount welded on the frame and an after market rim powder coated yellow. The only thing it's missing is a moon hub. I've been hunting for one, but no luck so far. The rims on the trailer have the original double walled moon hub caps that I had re-chromed. The trailer had what appeared to be the original TeeNee stickers that were faded pretty bad, but appeared to be in the original locations on the trailer. I had new stickers made and replaced the old ones.

There are a few more things I would like to do, such as painting the motor and replacing the Crestliner decals on the sides of the boat. The original painted Crestliner logo in white with blue water is still visible on the side near the back of the boat. It still needs a few more touches, but it's a real joy to take it out on Lake Tarpon every chance I get.
Well, I could go on and on, but I will end for now. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures of my Crestliner. Thanks again Pam for all your hard work on the web site.

Best regards,
Ben Gray
