Couple of mysteries.
My boat is a '56.
Was there supposed to be a shelf, or a floatation chamber or anything in the bow of my boat? I don't see any evidence of anything up there.
Front seat - How in the world does one remove the seat bottom plywood in the front seat? (There is no upolstery present - long gone.)
It has the aluminum brackets, riveted to the hull, and at the top of the bracket, the plywood is screwed to the bracket from UNDERNEATH. I can't even figure out how this was BUILT. Am I missing something? I can get pics if needed, but I'd bet anyone who's worked on one will know what I'm talking about.
Rear seat - in what way was the lower and upper held in place?
Both seats - what was the original vynil like? I'm assuming foam rubber, covered with vynil - was the vynil just draped over, and tacked on the backside? Or was it cut and stitched to make more of a "boxed" look? _________________ Chris
