I will be launching my boat today.  It is about 95% complete.  I have the 1975 Mercury 650 on the boat at this time.  I need to finish the following:

1. Finish restoring and install original steering wheel.

2. Restore 1958 Mercury Mark 78

3. Finish restoring original spotlight

4. Install gages

5. Finish and install dash mounted Flying Crest plate with logo.

6. Complete underdash wiring.

7. Locate and install baby moon hub caps on trailer (need 3).  These are very hard to find!

8. Redo seat backs.  I made them too thick the first time.

9. Make a new convertible top (red plaid or silver gray? - both were original colors)

OK maybe I lied.  I may be about 70% complete.  But at least I will get it in the water today.  Wish me luck!

By the way, the black flag with the "V" on it doesn't stand for my last name - Viren.  It was named the "Viola" which was my grandmothers name.  I found the flag under the floor boards and it cleaned up very nicely.  That Oxy-Clean is remarkable!

The jump seat is an accessory my grandfather bought from Crestliner (see catalog - this website).  There is a rail on both sides of the boat that allows its placement just about anywhere in the boat.  The red boat in the background is a 15' Jetstreak.  I will send pictures of this boat at a later date.
