Greetings,
After spending more then a decade trying to find this beautiful
pristine condition Crestliner Apollo she is now finally in my possession.
I was raised with this fine make and model. The only difference
being the monster 125 HP Evinrude on this one. The one I was raised
with had a stout 85 Hp Johnson shown in the Crestliner brochure.
The 85 HP pushed the Apollo around 38 MPH, the 125 HP Rude runs
out at a mind blowing 48 MPH. The boat as you can see has all original
seats, floor and chrome. It was stored in an old guys garage
for over 30 years in darkness. The owner that I bought it from was
an elderly gent that only used it once or twice each year. I could
not have been anymore lucky in finding this boat in this condition.
It is truly like show room condition. The people at the boat ramp
and the lakes can't believe their eyes when I pull up. It's like
a flash back for many baby boomers. The vintage Crestliner look
and the unmatched quality of the early 70s Crestlines
was truly a testament to leading and pioneering the boating industry
for the future. I spent many long and memorable hours boating in
Voyagers National park on Crane Lake MN with my Father, Mother and
siblings. My children will now experience the same awe inspiring
beauty that I did as a child cruising the pristine waters from the
Classic 1971 Crestliner Apollo.
