I purchased an old Crestliner 2 years ago. The person i bought it from thought it was a 1965 ( that's what the title says. . . i wonder how I will get THAT fixed. . .). He had gutted it and started to turn it into a fishing boat (removed seats, installed a raised platform throughout the cockpit). I wanted to return it to an all-around boat, but wasn't sure what it originally looked like. i found your web site about a month ago, and was inspired by the work I saw. i also realized that I had either a '57 or '58 Voyager.

I have started to clean it up, strip the paint that was on the deck, and fix it up. It is in fair shape. It has no major dents, but a lot of extra holes have been put in it over the years to mount accessories and such.

The '76 Mercury 402 that came with it died for good last year and has been replaced by a '69 Evinrude 40 HP Big Twin. I hope to have the "new " motor up and running and at least get it into the water this year.

I will send more pictures as the work progresses. Thanks so much for the great site!

John Lloyd
