Thanks for taking a look at my 1961 14' Commodore model 810 wi optional
steering
system. This boat is a 100% Minnesota original. The motor in these
pictures is a sweet
performing '59 35hp rude that is borrowed from my friends stock. It
is destined/or his '59 12' Jetstreak project boat.
I purchased this Commodore about 6 years ago from a used boat dealership
and plan to keep it in its original condition so we continue enjoying
it on the water "worry free".
These series of shots were taken over July 4th weekend 2004. The best
was the ride with my buddy, brother, and 5-year-old nephew Joey, as
captain sitting on my lap. It was around 5:00pm so all 4 of us decided
to give the rest of the family a couple "fly-byes". Captain
Joey did a great job and it was really fun to listen to him talk about
this 1961 Crestliner and how it was different from his dad's 2003
Crestliner Fish Hawk 1850! Someday Joey's gonna have to take his nephew
out in this one too.
I'm glad I grew up with Crestliners, and its great to see others appreciate
them also.. .
See-ya on the water!
