I purchased this Crestliner in 98 or 99 from my Mom's neighbor for $75. At the time it seemed like a fair price. Although, that is all it took to get the bug to have a boat and want to restore it. I did a little research online and spoke with the Crestliner folks to find out what it was. I then started a complete restoration of the boat. I stripped everything off of it and began the long task of preping the aluminum for paint. There was just something about the lines of this boat that kept me fueled to complete the project.

I think it took me about 6 months to totally complete the project. The 2nd maiden voyage was May 2000. I did not have the mechanical ability to get the old evinrude running, however I did have the opportunity to purchase a Honda 25 new at Honda employee cost thanks to my brother who worked for them at the time. Expensive motor for a $75 boat but it just seemed to tie in well with the design. I rec'd many compliments on the boat whenever I took it out.
