Restoration began with the removal of the hardware Interior starting to take shape

10/06

Hello,

I first saw a Jetstreak on this web site while researching the restoration of a 1960, 14 foot Commodore. In September of 2004 I placed an ad on the Crestliner site and I got a call a month or two later from Dave Roxin who said Bob Peterson had a 15 footer that he might sell me. After I hung up with Dave I called Bob and by twelve noon the next day I had a 1958, 15 foot Jetstreak sitting in my garage.

I was lucky and got a great boat to restore with a near perfect hull, original windshield, good hardware, and only about 70 holes that needed to be welded up. The original interior was missing with the exception of the front bench and a few scraps of the black and white vinyl.

My intent was to return the boat back to its original condition and I am pleased with my efforts. I would like to thank Bob Peterson, Dave Roxin, and Dennis and Pamela Matson for their contributions on this restoration project.

Sincerely,

Mark Thompson
