1958 Crestliner Viking

This summer my wife and I finished our '58 Viking restoration. Here are some pics. The wood is mahogany with a curly maple inlay. The motor is a early '59 mercury mark 58 fully restored. We added the bow and stearn lights and some additional features like the rod holders in the oar locks, cleats for ropes and dock bumpers, storage bins under the front seat, and mounted the oars on the sides of the boat. Since the pics, we've also added a wiring harness to the motor for electric start. In the future, we plan to strip all the paint, polish the aluminum, repaint the red and add the crestliner logos. Thanks to this website, our project has been a success. I even found this boat through the retrocrestliner classifieds! Our next restoration project is a 1950 decked Commodore...can't wait to get started. Hope everyone enjoys the photos and feel free to email me if you have any questions or comments.
