|

I will be installing new wood seats in my Commander. The original plywood is delaminating. Can someone tell me how to replicate the pinstripes? Were they tape of some sort or hand painted? Were they put on pre or post varnish? Material?
Thanks in advance, Phil |

Phil,
I don't know what crestliner did back in the day but I'm sure one of the older members will chime in.
I had great luck with 1/8 white pin striping from the automotive store. I put a coat of marine varnish down first, then the striping, then several more coats of varnish... looks great. If you check my old posts you may find a link to some pictures of the actual seats, seat back, and dash I made. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Marty - appreciate it. I am new to the forum and not sure how to look for your previous post though. Can you tell me how?

Original striping was painted on. Taped on stripes will likely move around and come loose where you sit on them and when passengers step on the seats to board.
