Well, I have the desire to show off my parts boat. She was one step from going to boat heaven when I had a vision and decided to make the purchase and drag her home. I brought her home without my wife knowing and I was greeted with a "WHAT THE ....!"
After several months I pieced it together enough to become a boat again. She ain't no show winner, but this is the first boat I can call my own and was built using very little money.
The maiden voyage went perfectly. As my boy and I pulled away from the dock, she purred and wisked away without a hitch...well, almost. Later in the afternoon, I could not get her to come off idle. Everytime I'd throttle up she'd stall. Got her to shore and discover that the sping for the spark advance popped off and was laying on the back cover. Fiddled it back on and away we went.
Needless to say, my kids and I are completely happy with our boat. My wife is quite pleased with how it turned out...now I hope she never doughts me again...yeah right!

Thanks folks. The kids and I are really enjoying this little boat. This is the fourth weekend in a row we've had her out. We've visited two Fall Festivals by the water and been doing some fishing too...fun stuff.
