Well, I found out it's a slow process restoring an old boat if you haven't done it before. But, the Jetstreak is coming along. I bought an 18hp Evinrude for it already, and last week picked up a Balco trailer for it. It's at my aluminum welders yet. The back piece between the seat and transom was missing when I got it. It was cut out, but they left about 4 inches of the front and back with it. He has the new piece all bent up with the raised indentation(looks great!), but we can't figure out the correct way it attaches to the sides. Is it riveted to a piece of angle stock, does the back piece have a bend down or up that it gets riveted through, or? I have looked for any clues in the viewer photos, but there's nothing close up that shows me what I'm looking for. If someone could email me some close up pictures of how it's supposed to look, that would be greatly appreciated. I will also get some pics on here as soon as I get it back.
