Greetings:
This past summer, I acquired a 1954 Commodore Speedster with the single fore deck (very solid hull & 0-leaks!). It is currently configured for a tiller motor, but previously had forward (starboard side) wheel steering which I will re-establish this summer (2011). Will also install a "period correct" reproduction windshield as well. The boat is currently mated with a 1957 Scott 22 Sports tiller motor, but will add complete Scott controls (throttle & FNR). Trailer is a very solid SNOCO that has been structurally re-done including the rolling gear. The boat is located in N/E IL (brother's barn) & is used UpNorth (WI) each summer.

Welcome! This is a great site, I've learned so much from the guys here.
Sounds like you've got a very cool boat, and motor. Look forward to pics.

And I am one also. I have a 1963 Sea Scout that my Grandfather purchased in 1965. It has been in the family the whole time, my garage for about ten years. The time has come to fix it up and this site has already been of help.

Thanks,
Joe
